Dear Arlington High School student,
Hi, my name is Joohyun and I am a first-year student at Sangsan High School. I am 16 years old. I consider it a great opportunity to write this letter. I've always wanted to make friends abroad, and I hope this letter will serve as an opportunity.
I get up at 6 in the morning, get ready and go to school. From 8 am to 12 pm, I have morning classes and have lunch. At lunchtime, we eat lunch and spend time playing soccer or chatting with our friends. After that, there is an afternoon class from 1 pm to 5 pm and school classes are over. In the evening, we can eat school lunch or go out and eat whatever we want. After having dinner, we go to a private academy or self-study at night. I go to bed around 12 o'clock.
My hobbies is judo. I often teach judo to my friends in gym class. I also likes to play bowling, so I go to the bowling alley every week. What are the hobbies of your students?
Now let's talk about my favorite food. I'm sorry to keep repeating the cliché, but I don't know what to say, so I hope you understand. My favorite food is 'Spicy Hot Pot'. I high-key like it. You probably don't know much about this food. This is a Chinese dish, in which spices are heated and flavored oil is poured with broth, and vegetables, meat, noodles, tofu, etc. are added as desired and then boiled. I don't know if there is a restaurant in Nebraska too, but I want you to try this food. Besides Spicy Hot Pot, I really like 'Samgyeopsal(Pork belly)'. It refers to the portion of pork belly attached to the pork ribs. If you roast it over a fire, it becomes grilled pork belly, and in Korean cuisine, it is usually grilled and eaten wrapped in sesame leaves or lettuce. This food also appeared on the YouTube channel '영국남자 Korean Englishman' and is a well-known Korean food in foreign countries. A great number of people love it. What food do you prefer? Recommend it to me!
School life at Sangsan High School is very interesting. Living in a dormitory allows you to stay close to your friends and bond through hardships together. Exams are difficult and there are only friends around me who study well, so I think I can work even harder. After coming to this school, I also made a girlfriend. If there is a chance, I would like to introduce her to you.
