Dear, Duchense Academy of the Sacred Heart student.
Hello, my name is Sola, in Jeonju, Korea. I’m a first grade student at Sangsan high school. I am 16 years old. Do you like K-pop? I’m big fan of Seventeen. My house is in Seoul, but our school students should live in dormitory, so I spend most of my days in Jeonju. Most schools in Korea commute from home to school, but some schools have dormitories like our school. I think you might be curious about such an unfamiliar Korean school. So I want to tell you many things about Korean schools by introducing my day schedule. I'm high-key glad to write to you like this letter!
First, we usually woke up at 6:30, and we can get ready for school, eat breakfast, or get some sleep again (we call it Re-sleep) to make use of morning time. When I go to school, I take classes consisting of 8 classes, I take 4 classes before lunch and 4 classes after lunch. We have to complete all the subjects that the school has decided on. In class, I learn new subjects such as ‘Philosophy’ and ‘Artificial Intelligence’ as well as subjects that take exams on the national college entrance exam(an examination to go to college) such as math and English. Our class consists of 50 minutes of class time and 10 minutes of break time, and you can take a break or use the snack bar during break time. So during the break time, the school snack bar is full of a great number of students. I think I was one of them. Have dinner after school. Usually, students eat school meals, but sometimes they eat out in front of school. After dinner, we study at school at night. During this time, I can study alone or take additional classes. After this time, We study at the dorm again and go to sleep.
I introduced my day like this. Was it interesting? There will be many differences and similarities with your school. If you have any questions, please let me know. I want to know about your school, too. I will be waiting for your reply. I want to be good friends with you!
