Dear, My new friend
Hi! I am Chung-eon Jung who lives in Korea. I am 16 years old, and a first grade at Sangsan High School in Jeonju. I had lived in Seoul before, but I’m living in a dormitory apart from my family because of Sangsan High School. How would you feel if you lived in a dormitory without seeing your family? I sometimes feel lonely because I can't see my family, but I'm having a fun school life with my friends.
Next, I will introduce our school life. At 6:30 in the morning, the song plays in the dormitory and wakes up all the students. The time to go to school is until 7:50, so I often sleep more and go to school. The school class starts at 8:10 and ends at 5:10. After that, we study for 3 hours called '야자(Evening self-study)', and most of us are dorm students, so almost everyone studies. After that, studying for an additional hour and a half of self-study, the day is over. How is your daily life in America?
The most interesting thing in my school life is playing sports such as soccer and basketball with my friends. I am releasing my academic stress through activities in soccer and basketball clubs. In addition, I am a big fan of Son Heung-min, but I prefer Chelsea FC. Also, our school is supposed to learn Taekwondo, a traditional Korean sport. I am a fourth-degree black belt, so I make use of this time to teach my friends about it. What kind of sports do you like? Also, which team are you a fan of?
There are many interesting school life, but in fact, our school is a nationwide private high school, attracting many smart students from all over the country. There are many advantages about this, but it is actually very hard to take a test and study among these friends. Korean students have a great academical ambition and compete fiercely to go to better college. So I also high-key try hard to get good grades. How is the atmosphere of study in American schools? I can't wait for your reply.
Sincerely, chungeon
