Dear. Arlington Highshool’s pen-friend.
Hi, my name is Haesung Park (it doesn’t mean the park with grass and tree). I’m glad to have a pen pal with you. I’m a freshman at Sangsan high school. And I’m 16years old in America, but 17years old in Korea because the age calculation system of America and Korea is different. My future dream job is to be a physicist And I want to go to a graduate school in America.
I want to share my daily life at school. I live in Seoul, but my high school is in Jeounju(it is quite far. The distance from Seoul to Jeonju is similar to the distance from New York to Boston. So, I can’t commute to school from home. Therefore, I stay the school dormitory.
At school, I usually wake up at 6:30 and take shower. After a shower, I eat breakfast. The school restaurant provides all kinds of meals such as rice, fried rice, fruits, bread, yogurt, and cereals. And I take a class from 8:10 to 17:20 (of course there’s lunchtime at 12:00~13:20.). My favorite class is P.E. I also take the after-school self-study. But, it’s not ‘self’. The teacher makes me study forcibly. At night, there are giant moths out of the window because my high school is located on the county side.
My hobby is soccer and Taekwondo. I think most American students also like soccer, am I right? My main position is the goalkeeper. I’m the main goalkeeper of my class and my class has won for school tournament.
Also, l prefer watching soccer to playing soccer. Due to I’m a big fan of Tottenham because of super sonny who got Golden Boots at EPL last year. Sonny is one of the best soccer players in Korean history. But, I also like other major soccer league not only EPL. So, I know great American player such as Pulisic, Dest, Mckennie.
Do you know taekwondo? You may hear about it because taekwondo is one of the Olympic games. If you didn’t hear or watch, i recommend watching taekwondo. Surprisingly, my taekwondo teacher won a silver medal at the Olympics. I’m 4th pum which is the max level at my age. So, I joined a taekwondo club. The taekwondo club is not a normal school club, but Sangsan high school’s principle emphasizes learning it.
What is your hobby(or normal American student’s one)?
