Dear American High School Student,
Hi! My name is Jihoo and I am a first-year student at Sangsan High School. My nickname is Lightning because I have my own Youtube channel, and its name is ‘Lightning’. My channel’s concept is Mine-imator, animation that is Minecraft-styled. I have 26.6k subscribers, so I can say I am famous! I have an ambition to be a world-famous Youtuber! But almost everything is written in Korean, so you won’t be able to understand my videos. Sorry.
I want to tell you my school life. First, my school has about one thousand students and tens of teachers. I heard that American high schools don’t have homeroom class. But we aren’t. Each grade has 12 classrooms and each classroom has about 30 students. Every day there are 8 periods and each period lasts 50 minutes. First period starts at 8:10 and the last period ends at 5:10. Second, our school has its own dormitory. We wake up at 6:30 a.m. and do morning roll call(점호), like military. The dormitory offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner all! And we should go to school by 7:55 a.m. Third, there is night self-studying session(야자). After school is over, we go out of school or go back to dormitory. We rest there and eat dinner by the time when we study at night. It lasts from 6:30 p.m. to 9:20 p.m. It's so exhausting work! I prefer just studying in my house to school. What do you think that studying late at night in school?
I like watching 'anime', just like 'That time i got reincarnated as a slime', or 'Detective Conan'. Some people tend to see people like me are weeaboo(오타쿠), but I believe if they see our perspective, their mind will be changed. Do you like watching anime? If you do, what kind of anime do you watch?
