Dear American High School Student
My name is Jeongyong and I’m a freshman in Sangsan High School! First of all, I’m so excited(and nervous little) to have a chance to pen pal with you. So, whoever receive my letter, sincerely nice to meet you.
First, I want to introduce my school and life here. Our school is located in Jeonju, which is famous for Korean traditional culture. And thanks to the characteristics of private high school, I can learn special subjects such as philosophy and coding. My day here starts at 6:30 a.m. When the wake-up alarm goes off in the dormitory, I go to school by 8 a.m. and then the class continues until 5 p.m. If you think it's over, you have to do another night study from 6:30 to 11. I think I'll get used to it by now, but I'm still having a hard time, so sometimes I want to run away from school. How is your school?
Another characteristic of our school is that the garden is pretty. I'm homesick once in a while because I don't live in Jeonju, but every time I look at the garden, it gets better.
How does it feel to live in America? I've never been to the United States yet, but the American people's lives in the movie seem literally wonderful. I also want to go to America and live there someday if I can. Do you recommend living in America? Please let me know if there's anything that can break my fantasy about America.
You must be preparing for college entrance exam because you are a high school student. I don't know much about college entrance exams in the U.S., so can you tell me? We go to college with a big test result that we take once a year called the College Scholastic Ability Test. That's why a great number of students in our school, including all of my friends and me, are preparing hard. I want to be free from study when the college entrance exam is over soon. The sooner the college entrance exam is over, the more I can hang out.
I have one last question. Do you watch YouTube or Netflix? May I ask what you see if you do?
I look forward to receiving your reply!
