Dear American highschool student,
Hi my name is Jang sinhee, and I'm 16years old! I am in my first year of Sangsan highschool. A great number of students in Sangsan highschool live in student dormitory together. Our school is one of the most famous schools in Korea, also our school was once a set for a korean movie. Korean highschool students study really hard to go to college and get a job. The test we are taking at our final grade in highschool is a huge thing for the whole country. And the reason why our school is famous is that Sangsan students are good at studying and this school is for those hardworking students.
Our school has a great view with lots of pine trees, and the scenery of evening glow is beautiful. I wake up at 6:30 when morning bell rings, and go to school at 7:30. We have classes from 8:10 to 5:30, and after we eat dinner, we study again until 11:30. It is quite a harsh schedule, but I'm getting used to it (I hope so..). What I've said so far might seem too gloomy to live in Korea as a high school student, but it is not that sad. The meals are great, friends are very nice, and lots of contents to enjoy in Korea.
Do you know anything about Kpop or kdrama? I think these days Korean culture seems to be getting popular suddenly. There are lots of other contents to enjoy rather than squid game, parasite, and bts. Those are actually the contents which are not my favorite. There are other Korean movies and music to enjoy. I recommend you melon chart, which is the biggest Korea music chart, songs on top lists won't disappoint you. I want to ask you about your favorite music or movie!
Also I lived in Canada for a year when I was young, and I sometimes miss my life there. I remember snacks which aren't in Korea. Cheetos, rice cakes, pop tart, cupcakes, chocolate pudding, and more! I think one of the great differences between countries is food. I remember even McDonalds hamburgers were different. (I think the vegetables and the buns were huger.) The thing I love about Korea is delicious food, Korean people love food, even eating contents on youtube are very famous. Also, I think the food delivery system is No.1 in the world. You can order any food anywhere (even in the park) with a great service. I prefer Korean chicken, tteokbokkie, Korean pizza, and bibimbap. You must try those. I want to know about your favorite food!
I think I should end my letter here. I want you to understand my English if you couldn't understand some parts, my English is not good... I want to know about you too, and I look forward reading your response! The sooner, the better!
Sincerely, Sinhee
