Dear American High School Student
Hi! my name is Hayeon and I am first-year student at Sangsan High School. I am sixteen years old! my face is similar to mouse, so my friends often call me mouse! Do you have your signature nickname?
I am going to tell you about Sangsan’s school life. A great number of sangsan high school’s students study harder than other schools. we get up at 6:30 am and go to school by 7:55 am. We take 4 classes, eat lunch and 4 classes again. After school, we have 3 classes to take ‘yaja’ which means evening self study, and ending that, we do ‘gija’ which means self study in dormitory. When all this is over, we go to bed at 12. All of this time is made use of studying. This daily routine is too hard to me, but repeating day by day, it is so beneficial. what do you think about this life?
There are also high-key fun events such as a sports competition in May after the midterm exam of the first semester, a pork belly party in tomorrow's sand, a field trip after the midterm exam of the second semester, and Kylai the day after the ‘Suneung’(Korean version SAT)of the third graders. I prefer to the rest of the schedule. What do you look forward to the most among your school events?
So far, I talked about the life of a Korean high school student that is common during the semester. What do American students do during vacation? I went to 'Summer School' last summer vacation. Summer school is to study while listening to classes that I study in academy, but I studied more than school life.
I've talked about my life. I wonder about your daily life, too! If I have a chance to tell you, I really want to listen to it. I'll finish here. Have a nice day:)
Ps. I send you a picture of our school sky.
