   Dear Winston Prep high school’s student Hello my name Chaehoon Park from Korea and I am a sophomore at Sangsan High School. I’m 16 years old in America. I high-key like music. I like playing the bass guitar, violin, and like listening music. My favorite music genre is rock music. I am a big fan of Nirvana. I higly recommend ‘lithium’, and if you want to listen Korean band, I recommend you to listen’MGFF’, and ‘HYUKOH’. I will tell you about my school life in Sangsan high school. I’m living at dormitory in my school. I have to wake up at a.m. 6:30 and sleep at twelve at night. At first, it is really hard to adapt this schedule, but now it is the most comfortable schedule. But my family lives in Ansan. It tooks about 3 hours by car from my school to Ansan. So I can’t frequently meet my family. At first glance I can’t go my home because of Covid 19. That make me miss my famil. However, fortunately now I can go my home when I want. My favorite place in my school is a playground, beacause when I have a worry, I go to the playground and listen music. I think I’m getting rid of my worries beacause the sky I saw in the dark playground is wonderful. We study diverse subjects like mathematics, science, English, Korean, history, music, and etc. My favorite subject is science. Especially I love physics. So I really want to be a physicist. And not only that, I’m going to make a band which is the most popular in the world, and do a lot of artistic things. My favorite thing in my school is school club activity. Our school have various club. I’m in the orchestra club and school band. I will perform at the school festival. I really looks forward to performing. So I want to know about American school’s club. What club did you join? What’s your favorite thing in school? Because of Covid-19, most of Korean schools did online-classes by ‘zoom’. we can meet 2 months after school starts, and can’t go a field trip. But a great number of students like online-classes, because we could sleep longer than usual day and play games with friends during school hours. It was so much fun talking about me. Dear Chaehoon,
My name is Michael Heffernan and I am from New York City. I go to Winston Prep, New York. I am 14 (turning 15 soon) in American years. I also like music, my favorite musician is Mac Miller. Like you, I also listen to Nirvana. My favorite songs by Nirvana are Smells Like Teen Spirit and Something In The Way.
I don’t live in a dormitory, I instead live with my parents and take the subway to school and coming back from school. I wake up at 7:20 AM and go to sleep at 9:45 PM. In school, I work on language arts, writing, math, science, and history. My favorite subject is history. I find almost all history fascinating, but I find World War II especially intriguing. This year, I am not in a club. Although, next year I hope to join a debate club because I enjoy debating topics.

Dear Chaehoon, My name is Adin Argueta and i go to Central Islip High School in New York. Im 15 years old almost 16 in a couple of months. I also adore listening to music, I dont have a specific genre of music that i listen to but i enjoy most. One of my favorite bands is "The Rare Occasions", most of their music is groovy with or has an upbeat feeling which is why i enjoy it. I'd recommend "Crumb" if you're trying to get into the indie genre of music  . School in Central Islip isn't too complicated, I usually wake up around 5:50am to get ready for school and to take the school bus. School last about 7 hours or longer if you decided to stay for after school activities. I dont usually stay after unless I have to finish some school work. I take 9 classes each day and they alternate from A and B days. On A days i have global studies, painting and drawing, French class, gym/physical education, principles of marketing, pre-ap english, geometry, lunch and finally chemistry. Then on a B day the only thing that changes is that instead of gym i have lunch 4th and 2 periods of chemistry to end the day. Over here in my school we dont have a playground or recess, it officially stops in elementary school which is kindergarten-6th grade over here. Unlike you Im not very involved in school related things, I usually just go home and finish my homework, listen to music and play Deepwoken which is a game on Roblox. Im glad you have something you want to do in your future, and i hope you do make a popular band, you can do it . Im not very sure what to do in the future but i'd like to do something related to films or music. Although Im also interested in art, i love doing pointless doodles sometimes in whatever class creativity sparks in me. If you ever go to New York and visit Long island, I can show you around even if it's not the city, I think the suburbs is still pretty cool to look around and stuff.
