Dear Francis Lewis High School student,
My name is Jae In Lee and I am 15 years old, in first grade at Sangsan high school! I am very happy to send this letter to you. I’ve never been to America, so this is my first meeting with an American except for foreigners living in Korea. I want to know about American and American high school life:).
Before that, I want to tell you about my life at my school in Korea. I am living in the school dormitory with four roommates. I don't have to stay in the dormitory because my school is close to the school, but I chose the dormitory because it is more convenient to study when I live in the dormitory. How about your school? Does your school have a dormitory, too? I suggest going to school at home instead of a dormitory. The dormitory may help you study, but it's uncomfortable to live in(You can't eat food in the dormitory, and you can't enter another room.).
From now on, I will tell you about my daily routine at Sangsan high school. We have to get up at 6:30 in the morning. After that, I eat breakfast or shower, go to school by 7:55 and take classes until noon before lunch. Lunchtime is an hour and 20 minutes. We eat and play soccer in the playground or do homework in class. After that, I study again, eat dinner, rest...Then it'll be midnight, time to go to bed. This is my high school life in Korea. I think high school life in America and Korea will be very different. I heard that there are school buses in the U.S., and students, not teachers, move around and take classes. I wonder what the school meals there are, how is the daily routine, what subjects students find the most difficult in the United States, and how the class is conducted.
But we have something in common: High school life is really hard. That's why I keep relieving stress by playing sports or games. Do you have any favorite sports or games? I high-key like soccer among sports. I am a big fan of Dortmund, a soccer team in Germany. My bucket list is to go to Germany one day and watch Dortmund's game. Do you have a favorite sport or team? I heard that football and baseball are very popular in the United States, do you like them? I'm curious.
The sooner the midterm examination is over, the better! I stopped watching soccer or playing games for a while because it's exam season. I'm bored and tired, but I feel relieved when I think about what to do after the exam. Why don't you recommend me something to do after the exam? I'm very curious about what you do after the exam.
