10406 Hyeon Chae

Dear Hyena Chae,

Hello, my name is Kelise Krivohlavek. I am a sophomore, and I am 15 years old. My birthday is next week on the 27th. I think that it is amazing that you guys live in Korea. America isn’t that great but do yall have McDonalds? Well I just that was a little mean. I guess Nebrasa is kinda boring but if you go to the coast it's better. I go to Arlington Public Schools, it is a K-12 grade school. I have been at this school since I was in 2nd grade. I do cross country, girls wrestling, and track. I love running, do you? On Friday the 21 I am going to the state for cross country. Do you do any sports?

I set my alarm for 6:10 but sleep till 6:14. Then I go upstairs to make my mom coffee and get my phone. After I go back down to my room and take a shower and get ready for the day. I live 10 minutes away from school.(if i am speeding, shhh don’t tell anyone) I leave my house at 7:30 when it is cold but if it isn’t cold then i leave at 7:15. Our school doors don’t open until 7:40, so I wait in my car or go and talk to my friends. Our school day starts at 8:05 and ends at 3:30.

My first class is beginners' speeches with Mr.Mckee. He is a pretty chill teacher and his class is definitely on the top of my list . My second class is spanish. I love Spanish because it is with Senora. Do you know any spanish? My third class is Geometry, kinda boring but easy. My 4th class is Accounting honestly like another math class, but I am not complaining. I love math. The 5th period is like a study hall for 15 minutes before we go to lunch. Our lunch is like 40 minutes and it isn’t very good. 6th period is biology. She hates our class because the boys in it are bad and annoying. She also won’t let me get a class switch because apparently they need good people in the class. 7th period is my study hall, I go to Mr. P’s room and watch tik toks or read. 8th period i go back to Mr.Mckee’s room for honors english probably my hardest class. The last class for the day is World History. The worst class of the day is super boring but I like the teacher.

I don’t really study for things. If i am being honest i just wing my test and hope that I get a good grade. In most of the classes if you just pay attention in class you will get a good grade. Most of the teachers basically go over the test before we take them. Do you have any social media accounts? My instagram is kelisekrivohlavek. Do you guys get to have phones in school? We kinda do but now they are more strict and will take them away and give us detentions. I have never been out of the country! But I hope I will get to see you in real life. If you ever come to America we need to go to Adventure Land. Well first do you like roller coasters? Because if you don’t then I don’t think you will like amusement parks. But there are alot of places to go. I live in Nebraska so there isn’t that much here unless you want to see a lot of corn. Hope you respond back.

Thank you for your letter. To answer your questions, I don't like roller coasters very much, because I don’t like the feeling when it falls. But I like amusement parks. It's because I like playing with my friends in the amusement park and I like the atmosphere of it, too. If I go to America, I want to go to an amusement park in America.

Also, when you come to Korea I recommend going to Everland. Everland is the biggest amusement park in Korea and there is also T Express, Everland's representative roller coaster!

Recently, we read a play titled “The Three Most Important Things in Life.” I think Family, friends, and entertainment is the most important thing in life. What do you think is most important?

Lastly, I'm curious about lunch at American school. We eat school meals, and I like it because it's quite delicious. Do you guys eat school meals, too?
