Dear, U.S High School Students
Hi my name is Janghee and I’m a first-year student in Sangsan high school. Since I have no information about you and it is my first time writing a letter oversea, it is very nervous for me.
Let’s start with my daily life in school. At 6:30 a.m. we should wake up. But I live in the dormitory so I have a lot of time left so I sleep again until 7:30. Then I get prepared and then go to school at 7:50.(I just skip breakfast because I’m not hungry in the morning.) The school ends at 5:10 p.m. You would think that we take plenty of classes, but this is not the end. We have a self-study program twice; 6:30 p.m. to 9:20 p.m. in school, 10:00 p.m. to 11:20 p.m. in the dormitory. It sounds a bit tough but most of high school students in Korea study hard for a test called “suneung” which is similar to SAT and ACT.
But I still have some hobbies which are delights in my life. First, I’m a big fan of movies. My favorite genre is horror and thriller. The tension that these movies make is addictive that I can’t stop watching them. If you don’t mind watching these kinds of movies, I want to recommend the movie “A Quiet Place” to you. The idea of this movie is creative, and also it will be enough to make your hand sweaty. Secondly, I like to take photos. It records my past so when I look at it again it reminds me of those moments and my memories. So I’ll post a photo of our school to share.
