Dear Duchense Academy of the Sacred Heart student
Hi my name is Ji in Jung and I am a first-year student at Sangsan High School. I am 16 years old.
I want to tell you about my school life at South Korea. I live at the dormitory since my home is far away from here Jeonju. Almost every students in our school use the dormitory. I use my room with 4 friends. At first, it was quite hard to adapt to this condition, however now I’m so comfortable with my friends.
Our school have school uniforms. Great number of schools in South Korea have school uniforms. Our school have both summer and winter uniforms. I prefer to wear winter uniform since I think it is more pretty. Because our school have dormitory, they offer us three times of meal, I’m actually a big fan of our school meal, since it is so delicious.
However we have harsh schedule. Our first class starts at 8AM while other schools start at 9AM. Since we have too tight schedule, some students are always tired and stressed. Also we learn bit harder contents than other high schools. And we have lots of assignment, and exams. We have four times of exam, and we usually take 7~10 subjects of exam. About the assignments, since we have too many of them, many of the students recommend to finish as fast as you can. The sooner you finish them, the better it is. Beside this harsh schedule, we have splendid campus view. Our school is very big, and also we have lots of trees and flowers, so it is so beautiful. I wish you could come over and see it!
