Dear American High School Student,
I hope this letter finds you well. I wish that you and your family are all in good health. I am grateful for the opportunity of knowing you. My name is Jun-Seok, and I am 17 years old now. I am a freshman currently at Sangsan High School.
Korea has a lot of tests and homework after Chuseok. I'm curious about the curriculum of your school, and I wonder if you take a lot of tests like me. I want to introduce you to the class I am taking at Sangsan High School in Korea.
We set a topic that we want to learn in class, discuss it, or write an essay. For example, I will introduce you to a topic that was conducted in my favorite science class.
Genetic engineering is an important issue in modern society. Some people think that it will improve people's lives in many ways. Others feel that it may be a threat to life on earth. Discuss both opinions and give your idea.
I usually suggest my opinion to my friends as follows.
We need to think outside of the box in order to have the best idea for this topic.
I don't think there's a way to undo a technology that's already been developed, just as what's once been deliberated and decided cannot be withdrawn. Furthermore, the serious side effects of scientific achievement do not stop the advancement of already advanced science, so I believe that the negative aspects of science will be solved by considering ethical standards that allow us to control and adjust science for human
As a result, I think genetic engineering is necessary for reality because manipulating and cloning genes increases the quality, value, and dignity of human life.
What subject are you focusing on these days in a similar situation to me?
Let's suppose you wanted to rest, what do you do during your break? I usually like to listen to music.
During the break, I have a lot of conversations with my friends about our career paths, future, and what we will study at college. Whenever I deal with difficult situations, I try to learn the different perspectives my friends see. American students like you spend the majority of studying time on their school homework, while I spend a lot of time in after-school classes as well as studying for CSAT. I must have a lot of ambition to get a high score on the college entrance exam.
I hope you don't struggle with too many tests. I hope to hear good news from you.
Take care,
Sincerely,
Jun-Seok Choi

I wake up quite early. I wake up at 5AM. As soon as I wake up, I do Korean until like 6:30. At 6:30, I have breakfast, take a shower, and go to school by 7:50. The time I need to get to school is by 8 o’ clock, and the classes are from 8:10 AM to 4:30 PM. We repeat 50-minute classes and 10-minute break times, and there’s one-hour lunchtime. When school is over at 4:30, I either come back home and have snacks, or have dinner when I have to go to class right away. When all the classes are over, it’ll be like 10PM, but since I don’t currently go to classes, I go into a study room or a cafe and study for tests after school. The tests include CSAT and school tests, so when studying for them and coming back home, it’s around midnight. I take a shower around midnight, then go to sleep around 1AM or 1:30AM.
What do you do with your friends?I hope you don't struggle with too many tests. I hope to hear good news from you.

Sincerely,
