Dear Francies Lewis High School Student,
Hello, I am Hyun-min Park and I am a first-year student at Sangsan High School. I'm staying with my school friends in the school dormitory. I am 15 years old, 17 years old in Korean age. I am interested in school life in other countries because I have only done school life in Korea.
First, I would like to introduce Sangsan High School that I attend. Our school is a dormitory school, so a great number of students live in dormitories. Therefore, most students do not live with their families. Sometimes I miss my family so much, but if I apply, I can go out for the weekend and come back, so it's okay.
Now I will explain the daily routine of our school, which is a Korean dormitory high school. The daily routine of our school students begins with waking up at 6:30 in the dormitory. I go to school by 7:55 after preparing for school for about an hour and a half. The first class begins at 8:10, and the eighth class, the last class ends at 17:10. After that, I have self-study time from 18:30 to 23:20. On weekends we have complete free time. You can get up at any time you want, or you can go out. So I go out with my friends to eat the food I wanted to eat during the week, and I go to the academy to help me with my school studies. How is the weekday or weekend routine of high school students in the United States? I heard that all American high school students have mobile classes, so I wonder if it really is. And I wonder if you have self-study time after school or free time.
In Korea, the importance of college entrance is high, so many students aim to take the Suneung(수능, similar to the SAT) or enter college through school grades. So I wonder how important American high school students are to go to college and how they go to college.
And I am a big fan of American comic books, so I prefer to read translated Marvel or DC comic books in my free time. If you like reading comic books, please recommend other comic books except Hero comics!
If everything goes back to its place after Corona is over, I'm definitely willing to travel to America. If we can see each other, let's see each other, my friend.
Sincerely, Hyun-min Park
