Hello, my name is Tiara. I have never talked to a friend my email, or as a penpal, so I am really looking forward to this event. I want to tell you how my school is like and some things I like about this school.
Firstly, I will tell you about the school campus. Because the school is built on a hill, the corridors are connected in a strange way, so I had problems memorizing them, For example, the 3rd floor of the 과학관 and 신강 is connected to the 2nd floor of the 본관. The thing that I like most about the school is the big and beautiful campus. There are a great number of trees and flowers that cover the whole campus (I bet that there are over 100 trees that cover the whole campus. And most of the trees are pine trees. There is also a pond full of big carps. There is a saying that what the founder of this school most likes are first, carps, second, pine trees, and thirdly students. I think that it is a right saying since there are actually over 5 people who are taking care of the trees. Thanks to them, all of the trees and plants are taken care of every day.
Our school consists of many separate buildings. There is a dormitory for boys and girls, a place where we eat our breakfast, a new built building which is called 신강(shin-gang) which literally means ‘new building’ and ‘과학관’(gua-hak guan) which means ‘science building/department’. In these two places, we do our transfer classes. Unlike other Korean highschools, my school has a lot of transfer classes, especially from the second grade. The next building is the place where our homeroom classes are. It is called 본관(bon-guan). As a freshman, I don’t have a lot of transfer classes so I usually stay here. There is a place called 상도관(sang-do-guan) where our cafeteria and ‘taekwondo dojang’ is located. Next to this building, there is a building called 상아관(sang-a-guan). The library and a private study room for day students. The students who live in a dormitory like me use the study rooms inside the dormitory. We are allowed to get out of the school on 5~6:30, 9:20~9:55 on weekdays, and all until 9:55 on weekends. I really prefer to study at cafes, but it can only be done on weekends.
Well, I think it is a longer letter than what I expected. Anyways, I hope you liked it while reading this. I suggest you go into our school homepage and look at the pictures on the website. I am sure you will like it. The sooner you will answer, the better. I will be waiting for your letter
Sincerely, Tiara
