Dear my American Friend
Good morning! My name is Sieun and I’m Junior grade in Sangsan high school. I’m curious about who
will read my letter! I wish we could be nice friends for each other. Here is rainy and windy today

the weather there is good. Usually, I write some letters to my friends on special days in Korean. But it’s
first time to write letters in English, moreover to person who I don’t know! It’s quite nervous thing but
I’ll give it a try.
Umm, I think you might want to know the life of South Korean students. For me, I wake up at 5:30 AM
every morning. Most of our school just wake up at 6:30 AM but I like to take a shower at morning, so I
wake up earlier than normal students. After preparing for go to school I go to cafeteria to take my
breakfast. I love the breakfast of our cafeteria! If you have a chance to come South Korea, you must visit
our school’s cafeteria. By the way, after my breakfast, long and exhausted time starts. 8 AM to 5:20 PM I
take my courses at school. It’s happy to take a high-quality course every day, but it’s such a hard thing to
sit for 8 hours! After the courses we have a self-study time until 11:20 PM. In fact, not all students do
study for full time, but for some students make it! I, a normal student in here, just try my best in my
schedule. Sometimes it’s such a boring thing to live in same cycle every day but finding some little
happiness and living with a graceful mind makes me happy enough. Oh, and I like to play guitar and sing
an acoustic song when I take a rest. I’ve never learned from others, so literally practice on my own, but I
have a quite nice skill.
This is the most part of my life. How do you spend the day at your school? And what’s your hobby
