Dear American High School Student,
Hi! My name is Hawon Yoon, and I am first grade (16 years old) at Sangsan High school in Jeonju, South Korea.
I would like to introduce you about my daily life at Sangsan High school. Normally, I wake up between 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. I go to school at 7 a.m. and start studying. My school starts at 8:10 a.m. and ends at 5:10 p.m. There is a lunch time at 12:30 p.m. which is my high-key favorite time of school. We mostly learn math, science, Korean, and English. We also learn Chinese characters and Taekwondo. After the class is over starting from 6 p.m. we start studying independently which is not actually independent, because it is obligatory. Studying ends at 9:20 p.m. and we go back to our dorms to study more. Then after the studying ends, I go to bed at 12 a.m. If I describe my life in one word, it would be ‘carousel’, because everything goes the same every day. How is your life at your high school?
I am a big fan of a lot of animations like the Simpson Family. My favorite character in the Simpson Family is Krusty the Clown and the cat and the mouse that are in his shows, because I like the characters are so adorable. I also prefer other animations like Adventure Time, The Fairly OddParents, and The Amazing World of Gumball. Other than animations I like watching movies like ‘Man in Black’, ‘Alien’, and ‘Get Out’.
Before I came to Sangsan high school, I used to live in Seoul. I really miss Seoul, so I visit Seoul every three weeks. When I visited Seoul, I went to Hong Dae and Seoul Land where I highly suggest you visit there when you come to South Korea. I also recommend you visit the Han River when you visit Seoul.
After I graduate high school and go to university, I am planning to travel around the world. I wish I could visit numerous countries and cities like India, Bolivia, Spain, and America. I have been to America before, but I have never visited New York. It is my bucket list to ride an elevator that goes to the top of The Statue of Liberty. Do you have any recommendations related to visiting New York?
I wish you give response to this letter soon!
Stay safe and well,
Hawon:)
