Dear Hawon Yoon,

My name is Alissa Campbell and I'm currently attending Bryan Community High School. I’ve just recently switched here from Lincoln Northeast High School. I would definitely say I fit In better here as the school is way smaller than Northeast. I agree with how you described life as a “carousel”, only because life seems pretty repetitive in school as well. At Bryan school starts at 9a.m. Which is a change for me because Northeast started at 8a.m. As the school day ends at 3p.m. Throughout my school day I have 7 periods. My lunch is at 12 and ends 30 minutes later. I also enjoy lunch a lot, it’s a nice little break for me and my sister. My sister is pretty much the only person I talk to throughout my school day except for the teachers of course, she’s only a year older than me so it’s nice having someone no matter what.

Right now I’m taking one English class and that’s it. We have Spanish and French classes as an option to take, not a very wide selection personally. For my first period the school has a learning center class, like a study hall but in class if you could imagine. The first day I came to school I actually felt awkward actually doing work in that class. Only because every other student was on their phone not talking or doing anything else. I definitely have warmed up to the awkwardness of doing stuff by yourself even when you're the only person doing so. I then have an Infant/todler class that goes through pregnancy and what children need to grow up healthily. Personally I really love this class. I love kids and learning about their emotional/physical needs. I'm writing you this letter currently for a grade in English, but math comes right before. So sometimes I end up doing math in English. I end with a Science and History class. Not too exciting but definitely not boring.

Personally I havent given much thought to what I want to do after highschool. I do want to get into the medical feild but I'm not sure if I want to work with kids and families or at an E.R space. There’s a lot to do in the medical feild so I just have to do research and study on what fits me best. I’m definitely going to apply for college next year as a senior, just so I can have something academically that will 100% help me get better jobs as I expand my knowledge on where I want to work. Other than that I have no clue what I’m doing after I graduate.

I hope you get this response letter Hawon!! I really enjoyed reading about your school and what activities go on there. I agree with how you like the simpons, it’s a very popular show here and I grew up watching the scary episodes on halloween every year, always a good show to watch to have a good laugh. I also would love to travel. Things I've heard about New York are good and bad. This country is full of kidnappers and things regarding that. New York also has a lot of people which also means a lot of trash and street rats. So depending on where you go in New York I would stay alert and safe at all times. Regards to your letter, thankyou for taking the time out of your day to write to me. I really appreciate the kindness and asking me questions. I hope you get to travel in the future, we have a beautiful world if you get to see the pretty parts.
