Dear, American high school student,
Hi! I’m Yujin in sangsan highschool, junior freshman. After my teacher told us that you write letters for American friends, I was really excited to write letters and also I’m still a quite nervous too.. I want to share my daily life as a student in South Korea.
In weekday, I always wake up at 6:30. (morning song and alarm ring at 6:30, It’s half of my will, half of compulsion.) Then, My friends and I go to dormitory cafeteria to eat breakfast. I prefer eating bread, cereal, and yogurt but a great number of students eat korean food. When I get to class at 7:20, I start doing self-study. Our first class starts 8:10 and the last class ends at 5:10 pm. After dinner, we have to do more studying at school and back in dormitory. I was high-key tired and hard to set my life rhythm at the time that I entered this school, but now I got it!
It’s really nice to live in dormitory because of time with my friends. But sometimes I want to go back in my home, miss my family, rest in my fluffy bed. So I usually go back to my home once every 2 weeks in weekend, and meet my neighborhood friends (middle-school friends), talk with my family, watch Netflix with them. It’s my favorite time.
Yesterday, Korea had a friendly match for the national team with CostaRica. I’m a big fan of Son-Heung-min (sonny of Tottenham Hotspur). Do you like watching soccer, too? What’s your favorite soccer team?
I have been to America, and my favorite city was Seattle. If I can get a chance, I would like to go America again.
How about your daily life? It is anything different with me? I look forward to reading your response letter soon!
Sincerely, Yujin
p.s. Afterr dinner, we can see such a gorgeous sunset, It’s one of my favorite things at our school. (picture)
