Dear American school student,
Hello, I am Jenny, a high school student in Korea. I am really excited to talk with you, since I love talking in English! I have lived in Seattle and California for 1 month each when I was in middle school, and it was such a happy experience that I am planning to visit USA again in the future, maybe during or after college! Since I don’t know anything about who you are right now, let me just introduce myself and my life in Korea first of all, and let’s share various experiences later on!
I go to Sangsan high school, and most of the students in Sangsan is adept at math and science (Oops but not me). I really like my friends here, because they are all nice, and because our future jobs are similar (mostly doctor or science technology.. something related to science). We can give each other advices and learn from each other. We basically know each other so well because we are always together, from day to night. I’ll tell you about our daily routine. Most of us live in the dormitory(exceptions can exist, for students who live near school), and we wake up and 6:30 am. We have classes starting on 8:00 am, and finishing at 5:20 pm. Our class has lunch and dinner menus written on our white board, so I’d say our daily menu is what students are most interested about all day. My favorite class is PE, because I like to play sports and relieve stress! After all classes are over, we eat dinner and do some self studying for 3 hours in school, and additional one and a half hour in the dorm. We normally have bunch of things to do, so I think using these given time is important. What’s your favorite class? And what is life in America like?
I’ll tell you more about myself. Like I mentioned previously, I high-key like to play sports, like running, basketball, and skating. My family members are a big fan of basketball games, so we often go and watch games together! When I am in school, I usually don’t have much spare time, so I run along the school track during recess. Also I feel happy and relaxed when I call my mom, dad, and sister, because I can only meet them on person about 4 times a year, except vacations. Especially my dad has similar thoughts with me, so we can discuss about a topic for a long time, and he often gives me advices and encouragement, and this call becomes a strength to go through every kind of hard works and difficulties I experience everyday.
Since you have read this much, can you guess my MBTI? MBTI has been a big issue between Korean students for years. Let me guess your MBTI too, after I read your letter! Oh, and feel free to ask me questions about life or culture in Korea, and about myself. I’ll answer you as specifically as I can. See ya! Have a good day
