I want to tell you about my life at Sangsan High School. This year, I entered my school, and live at dormitory on school campus with my friends. My family lives in Seoul, but my school is in Jeonju. So, I can’t see them often, but it’s okay because here are my friends.

Now, I will share with you my daily life at Sangsan High School. I wake up at 6:30 every day as there is a roll call at 6:30. I prepare to go to school, and eat breakfast. After I arrive at school, I study before class starts. Our first class starts at 8:10am and the last class ends at 5:10pm. Later, I clean my classroom with my friends, and eat dinner. I study until 11:30pm, and go to bed at noon. Sometimes, I get tired of this schedule, and play with my friends. But I should live diligently, and study hard to get good grades and achieve my goal.

    There are a great number of tests in my school including intramural contests, performance assessments, midterms, final exams, and mock tests. Are you stressed about your test? Students in Korea including me high-key hates tests and get stressed about tests. Thus, the sooner the exams are finished, the more relieved and happier we are.
    I’m going to talk about school clubs, and school events. There are many school clubs, and each student in this school goes to their club, and does club activity. As there are many students who want to be a doctor, there are many medical clubs. I’m in the club called ‘In Film’, which is a club that watches movies, and debates or investigates about some topics related to a movie. My school has its own school event such as athletics competition, SangsanCup, 카일라이(caillie) school festival. Thanks to these clubs, and events, my school life gets more exciting.

    I prefer playing sports like soccer, badminton and watching movies with my friends after finishing test. I’m a big fan of Lionel Messi. I look forward to watching WorldCup this year. What is your favorite sports?

Hello my name is Alex Comer, and it is my sixth year at Winston Preparatory School. I am from New York City. I have heard of squid games and want to watch it one day. I love to travel around the world and where have you traveled to. At Winston we start school at 8:30 and end at 3:15 everyday except for Wednesday which is a half day. I wake up for school at 6:15 everyday and take the subway to and from school. I go to bed at 10:30 pm or 11:00 pm everyday. Have you watched the movie Parasite? My favorite sport is baseball. My favorite music to listen to is hip hop, pop, and rock and roll music.

First, to answer your questions, I have traveled to some countries including Japan, and the U.S. And, I haven’t watched Parasite yet. But I heard about it that it was awarded.
Also, to recommend you where you should go when you come my country, I think you should go Gwanghwamun gate.

Hi! My name is Indigo Ho Sang and I'm in 10th grade, which in America we refer to as a 'sophomore' in high school. I'm 14 years old and attend Central Islip High School in New York. I have watched 'Squid Game' and I enjoyed the show, however, I do feel the ending of the show could have been executed better. What do you think about Squid Game's ending? I have heard about Korean culture and casually consume South Korean media. Some of my favorite K-dramas are Itaewon Class and Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Let me know if you've seen these shows, personally, I find them super entertaining and would recommend them. My friends are more into K-Pop than I am but when I do listen to K-Pop it's typically BTS, Stray Kids, NCT Dream, and BLACKPINK. I'm excited to write this letter as well, so now I'll introduce you to my school life.

Where I live, from kindergarten to high school, you go to the school closest to where you live. Typically college/university is when someone would move away for school and stay in a dorm unless your parents send you to a boarding school. I attend a public high school with my friends. I usually wake up at 5:30am in order to have enough time to wash up, do my skincare routine, and plan a cute outfit for the day. I love fashion and my school doesn't require a uniform so I can express myself freely. Does your school have a uniform? After I'm ready, I go to my bus stop at 6:40am and arrive at school by 7:05am. Our first class starts at 7:15am and our last class ends at 1:55pm. However, my school day doesn't end at 1:55pm because I stay after for math club and sophomore club with my friends on Mondays. I'm also starring in my school's play, so I stay after school until 4:30pm on rehearsal days. Once I get home I'm very tired but I manage to do my homework. You're not alone in feeling stressed about tests. I have many higher level classes (honors and advanced placement courses) and they can be overwhelming sometimes, but I try to stay positive and relieve my stress by making art. Do you sing, play an instrument, draw or dance? Personally, I love singing and I'm a member of my school's all girls choir, 'Sweet Adelines,' and my school's wind ensemble band as a flute.

I have so much more I'd like to talk to you about. I found your school life fascinating and I hope you learned something interesting about American school life.

To answer your questions, I think Squid Game’s ending was a big foreshadowing in that the main character can revenge on the people who made the survival game. And, actually, I didn’t watch those shows such as Itaewon Class, and Extraordinary Attorney Woo. But I saw my friends watching them and they seemed interesting. My school has a school uniform, and the students should wear a school uniform. It was uncomfortable at first, but it became familiar now. I don’t do activities such as dancing, singing, and playing instruments personally. During music classes, and art classes, however, I often do such activities.
Recently, we read a play titled “The Three Most Important Things in Life.” I think relationships like family, and friends are the most important things in life. What do you think is most important?
When you come to Korea, I recommend you Jongno-gu in Seoul because there are many cultural assets from Joseon dynasty. It would be an impressive experience to you.
Something I’m curious about American life is about education. In Korea, most of the classes are focused on theories. What are your classes focused on?
