Dear American High School Student,
Hello? My name is Han young and I’m a first grader at Sangsan High School. I am 16 years old. My friends often call me Korean English because in Korean, Han means Korean and Young means English. It’s quite funny if you hear it in Korean. Do you have any funny or creative nickname? If so, please tell me. I’m eager on knowing about it!
Know, I want to tell you my daily schedule as a student. First, I get up at 6:30 a.m. It’s a bit early but I think I’m getting the hang of it.
after taking breakfast, I go to school by 7:55 and start my class at 8:10. After taking 8 classes, my essential schedule ends at 5:10. After that, we have self-study time from 6:30 to 9:20. But actually, its ‘compulsory’ study, not self-study... I hope this is the end, but we have to study from 10 o’clock to 11:20 back at our dorm... oh I hate school...
Our school has a lot of clubs. There are essential clubs, which should be attended by all students, and optional. My club is the RCY, the Red Cross Youth. We do volunteer work for the weak and write medical essays. I joined this club because I have an ambition of being a doctor. I attend the basketball club Mammoth, and the soccer club Elephant. My school’s sports clubs’ names are all related with elephant because Sang(象) of Sangsan means elephant. What club do you attend? What’s its name, and what’s the meaning of it?
I’m a big fan of Hiphop. My favorite rapper is Post Malone. I bet you know him! I think he is a musical genius and I love his voice and groove while he is rapping. My favorite song is ‘Circles’. I highly recommend you hear this track! Who is your favorite artist and what is your favorite track?
