Dear American High School Student,
My name is Jiyul and I’m a first grader at Sangsan High School. Do you like American pop music? I prefer listening to it very much, and I am a big fan of Charlie Puth. I’m not only interested in pop music but also American sports, especially basketball. It’s my first experience to write a letter with a foreigner, so I’m very satisfied to write a letter to you.
I would like to tell about my daily routine in Sangsan High School. Differently with other Korean students, our school has a dormitory, so it only takes a minute to go to school. It is a rule to get up at 6:30 AM. A great number of students have difficulties to wake up at 6:30, but I’m okay. The first class starts at 8:10 AM and ends at 5:10 PM. After school, we do self-study until 11:20 PM. In weekends, I study myself or enjoy playing games, which is one of my hobbies. What activities do you enjoy in weekends?
Our school takes 4 big tests a year, and studying for a test is very tiring, so I release my stress by eating my favorite food. Our school has a convenient store, so I can buy snacks anytime. My favorite subject is math, because I am good at solving math problems. I dislike social studies the most. I’m having hard time studying it because I’m not good at memorizing. How about you?
I hope to visit America and try many things. Do you want to visit Korea? Korea has a very diverse and advanced culture. There are many places to hang out! The promenade near the Han River has a great scenery, so I strongly recommend you to visit there.
