Dear my penfriend



It fascinates me that I write a letter to whom I do not know, and who probably lives in the other part of world. It makes me also a bit nervous as I am hoping that this first letter could empress you enough, so that we could build a friendship from now on.

As you would not have any idea who I am, let me first start by telling you about myself. I am ‘Juneseo PARK’, a 16-year-old male student in Korea. I am from Seoul, but for the moment I live in Jeonju, where my school is. Although Jeonju is around 300 km away from Seoul, it is famous city for both local and foreign tourists due to the traditional Korean food, historic buildings, and a number of festivals. In fact, even meals in my school are pretty famous among students in Korea.

However, I have rather a simply daily routine as my school is a boarding school – I go to class in the morning and come back to my dormitory in the afternoon. Sounds a bit boring, right ? But the weekend is different. I play badminton with my friends and listen to pop songs. In fact, I am a huge fan of ‘Queen’ and ‘Pharrell Williams’. Do you have any favourite songs and singers ? or actors ?

I also enjoy watching musicals very much. Although I was not able to watch one for a couple of years due to the pandemic situation, I always preferred musicals to films. For now, I recommend you watch ‘Jekyll and Hyde – the musical’ when your time allows. It is in my top 5 list, actually. Those numbers, songs, from ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ are so famous that you would have probably heard of them various times – ‘This is the moment’, ‘Once upon a dream’, etc.

Well, this is me. I wish I could fully make use of this first chance to introduce myself to you. However, I hope that we have more opportunities to write and talk to each other sooner or later.
